Grammy Winning KU Instructor, Guitarist to Play for Community

KUTZTOWN, Pa.,- Grammy Award-winning guitarist and Kutztown University instructor David Cullen plays for students, faculty, staff and the public on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Georgian Room of Old Main.
Cullen will perform a guitar solo recital with genres of South American music including folk, classical and jazz. He will feature works by Villa-Lobos, Jobim and Cardoso.
Cullen received his bachelor of music degree from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. He teaches jazz and classical guitar at both KU and West Chester universities.
Cullen's work has been featured across NPR stations across the world, and he currently has out ten CD's for Solid Air Records (acoustic guitar label). He has performed throughout North America for Classical Guitar Societies, Jazz Festivals and Performing Art Sciences.
