KU Choral Ensembles to Present Concert of Sacred, Seasonal Works

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University Choir and Chamber Singers will perform a concert of sacred and seasonal works on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium.  Both ensembles are under the direction of Don Schade and accompanied by Greta Ertel.  The concert is free and open to the public.

The 45-voice University Choir will perform Olaf Christiansen's "Light Everlasting, "Sing Ye Praises" by John V. Mochnick, "Wondrous Love" by Paul Christiansen and Michael Larkin's "Invitation."  The choir will also offer seasonal pieces such as the 15th century English tune "Coventry Carol" and "Deck the Halls," arranged by John Rutter.

KU's smaller chamber choir will offer pieces such as "Exultate Deo" by Giovannia Pierluigi da Palestrina, "Esto Les Digo" by Kinley Lange and W. Ballet's "Lute-Book Lullaby."

Schaeffer Auditorium is located at Main St. and Schaeffer Lane on the campus of Kutztown University.
