Nov. 19, 2012
KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University's College of Business hosts executives from the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs as they discuss experiences in baseball and business and touch base with KU students on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Academic Forum, room 102.
KU alumnus Matt Hagen graduated with a degree in business and now hits homers as account executive for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. He will be pitching to students, staff and faculty on how each manager in his department earned their position. He will also talk about some of the curve balls about preparing to enter the work force such as: networking, special tips for success and how to pursue an internship.
Also taking the mound with Hagen to talk about their own experiences with the Iron Pigs is Manager of Sponsorship services, Alici Marinelli; Account Executive for Group sales, Bri Silovsky and manager of Stadium Operations, Jason Kiesel.
Coca-Cola Park is the most frequently visited park in Minor League Baseball, and the Iron Pigs are the only Minor League franchise to have over 600,000 people attending the last five campaigns. The park debuted in 2008 and was a fan-filled stadium overnight.
