Michael Werner to Speak at PA German Heritage Center’s Glieder Fescht

KUTZTOWN, PA - Glieder Fescht, an annual membership and friend appreciation dinner, will feature a keynote address from the editor of Hiwwe Wie Driwwe, Michael Werner. Werner's speech will compare the cultural patterns of the Pennsylvania German people to the cultural patterns of the Palatines in Germany. This event will be a wonderful evening of good food, music, and entertainment; and a celebration of another successful year at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University.

The event will take place on May 14, 2012 at 6 p.m. in Kutztown University's McFarland Student Union Building, room 218. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m..

Family-style dinner for the evening will include; marinated chicken breast, country sausage, spinach salad with hard boiled egg and hot bacon dressing, cottage cheese and apple butter, dried corn, potato rolls, green beans, and potato filling. Beverages include unsweetened iced tea, water, and coffee. For dessert, choose from delicious shoofly or apple pie.

Pre-registration is required for this event, tickets are $25 and anyone may attend. The price of a ticket includes dinner, beverages, dessert, and entertainment.
