Hollywood Recognizes KU for Electronic Media Talent

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University chapter of the National Broadcasting System was named Model Chapter of the Year for excellence in service and their high level of achievement and activity at the NBS national conference in Hollywood, Cal. over the weekend.
KU also brought home the Grand Prize in the Video Promotion category for their 2013 Kutztown University Football promo. That video can be seen here. Other schools nominated for the award were Monmouth and West Texas A & M Universities and the Universities of Cincinnati and North Texas.
KU received two other nominations in the Video Drama Program and Video Sports Segment categories.
The National Broadcasting Society (NBS), is a student and professional society of over eighty-five chapters on college, university, and community college campuses. Through the years, NBS has sought to encourage and reward scholarship and accomplishment among students of broadcasting, to establish meaningful communication between student and professional broadcasters and to foster integrity in the use of radio, television, film, cable and the many associated businesses and industries. Over 30,000 individuals have been initiated into the society since its founding in 1943.
