Social Work Community Forum March 15

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University's Department of Social Work, in conjunction with the Office of the President, hosts their 11th annual community forum on Friday, March 15 in the McFarland Student Union Building. This year's topic, "Healthcare Policy Implications Across the Practice Continuum," explores innovations in healthcare delivery, policy reform and ethical implications.

Community leaders, agency executives, policy makers, social workers, human services professionals, alumni, faculty, and students will participate in the day-long event.

Presenters and workshops will include U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Region III Director Joanne Grossi; Pennsylvania's Acting Secretary of Health Michael Wolf; Associate Vice President of Geisinger Health System Dr. George Godlewski; and President of Lehigh Valley Health Network's Medical Staff, Dr. Robert Motley.

Six continuing education credits will be available for licensed social workers, including three ethics credits for those who attend for the entire day.

Poised to respond to the changing needs of the region, the Department of Social Work at KU aspires to create opportunities for individual fulfillment and societal contribution in the entire regional community.
