Maura O'Connell, accomplished Celtic recording artist, performs for KU Presents!

March 6, 2013

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Maura O'Connell returns for an intimate performance in Ursa Minor's Café on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m.  The Café is located in the McFarland Student Union building.

O'Connell will perform traditional folk music of her native Ireland and classics by artists Van Morrison and Lennon and McCartney.

Maura O'Connell was first recorded in 1981 as a lead vocalist with the celebrated traditional Celtic group DeDanaan. Now on her tenth and latest solo disc, she has married her unmistakable voice and her signature talent for finding what's most potent in the work. O'Connell will journey through a broad array of genre-jumping songwriters, pulling the audience right along with her to the heart of the song.

Tickets for this event as well as clips, previews, and additional information, are available at www.KutztownPresents.org.
