Babatunde Lea to perform for KU Presents!

 KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Jazz percussionist Babatunde Lea brings his soul-pounding world beat to kick off the start of Berks Jazz Fest at KU's Ursa Minor's Café on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m.  Doors open at 6:30 PM for refreshments. 

Lea's unique inventiveness and tremendous showmanship behind the congas, trap drum kit and myriad of percussion instruments is sure to bring audiences to their feet. 

With over 50 years as a master percussionist, Babatunde Lea's vast experience, as well as his spiritual depth, resonate in everything he does, making him one of the most esteemed musicians of the past half century. Connecting audiences with the rhythm of everyday lives is at the core of his musical philosophy.
