KU Guitar Professor David Cullen Honored with Frank Scott Memorial Award

KUTZTOWN, PA - Described by the Reading Eagle as "top notch," Kutztown University music professor David Cullen was honored at a Pat Martino concert on Tuesday where he was presented with the Frank Scott Memorial Award by the Berks Arts Council.
This is the latest of many accolades for Cullen, having won a Grammy in 2004 for best pop instrumental performance. He teaches jazz and classical guitar here at KU.
Frank Scott, whom the award memorializes, was born in Reading in 1923 and played with jazz, blues and rock legends including Bing Crosby, Ray Charles, and Bill Haley and the Comets.
