"Academically Adrift- Limited Learning on College Campuses" to be discussed at KU

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University hosts a discussion about Dr. Richard Arum and Dr. Josipa Roksa's "Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses," led by KU provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Carlos Vargas-Aburto on April 18, at 3 p.m., in the Rohrbach Library at KU.

Arum is a professor of sociology and education at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He has published more than a dozen books about education, legal and institutional environments of schools, social stratification, student achievement and socialization, formal organizations, and self-employment.

Roksa, an associate professor of sociology and education at University of Virginia, has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Social Forces, Sociology of Education, Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Teachers College Record, Review of Higher Education, Research in Higher Education, and Social Science Research.
