KUTZTOWN, PA - José A. Molina, director of government relations at Kutztown University, was appointed yesterday to Governor Tom Corbett's Governor's Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs (GACLA). Molina has been a KU employee since 2001 and is a 2004 alumnus. He was also chosen as the Latino Outreach Coordinator for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2007. In 2008, he was selected as the Latino of the Year by the Allentown branch of the Puerto Rican Cultural Alliance.
GACLA serves as an advocacy and support agency for Pennsylvania's Latino community. The members of GACLA make suggestions about legislation, policies and procedures; in addition, the commission ensures the prosperity of the Latino Community, as well as keeping the state government within reach.
