February 27, 2014
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University students, faculty, staff and members of the public are invited to attend Entrepreneurship Day, from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 6 in McFarland Student Union room 218. This is a free event.
The event, which is sponsored by the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC), will expose attendees to successful entrepreneurs and support services in the area, spread awareness for the ELC and create support and awareness for the Business Plan Competition and classes.
The hour-long program will feature guest speakers Lou Fromm, owner and vice president of business development at Fromm Electric Supply Corporation; and Joel Seidel, owner and founder of Joel Seidel Photography and Pop's Malt Shoppe.
A group of high school students interested in learning more about entrepreneurship will accompany Clare Benz, a career education specialist with the Hamburg Area School District, to the event.
Student speakers for this event are Andrew Velik, a student associate with the Kutztown Community Partnership, which is dedicated to the economic revitalization and preservation of downtown Kutztown; and MBA graduate student Chad Fry, student advisor to the Entrepreneurship Club and graduate assistant for the College of Business. They will speak briefly about their experiences.
Students will also have the opportunity to interact with the two guest speakers and learn more about entrepreneurial resources at KU during an invitation-only luncheon following the event.
