KU Career Development Center Hosts a Variety of Events in Spring 2012

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University's Career Development Center hosts a variety of events through the spring semester for KU seniors only beginning with the Senior Orientation for College of Visual & Performing Arts on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 11-11:50 a.m. in the McFarland Student Union (MSU) building. The program will help KU students within the College of Visual & Performing Arts maximize their chance of success in today's job market and learn how to avoid the "Top Mistakes of a Senior."
The Career Development Center then hosts a "Senior Etiquette Dinner" on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 5-7 p.m. in the MSU. Students will learn the basics of proper dining etiquette including introductions & handshakes, following the lead of your host, tackling flatware, handling tricky foods, and other dining tips. A free dinner is provided and professional attire is required for participants.
In conjunction with KU's College of Business, the center hosts a "Senior Etiquette Dinner" for College of Business students on Feb. 28, 6-8 p.m., in the MSU. A free dinner is provided and professional attire is required for participants.
KU students gain insight on internships and job searching including, "Writing Your Resume & Cover Letter" on Feb. 9, March 20 and April 7, 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in the MSU room 250.
The center also hosts, "Job Search & Networking" on Feb. 16, March 22 and April 19, 11- 11:50 a.m., also in the MSU."Successful Interviewing" will be held March 1, 27 and April 24, 11-11:50 a.m. in the MSU. Professional attire is required for participants.
