Building Tomorrow Student Leadership Conference

Great Opportunity for KU Students to Build Leadership Skills

Feb. 2, 2012

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University's Office of Student Involvement hosts "Building Tomorrow Student Leadership Conference" on Saturday, February 18, noon to 5 p.m. held in the McFarland Student Union Building (MSU) room 218. The conference will help teach KU students about leadership, service learning, and how to improve their KU student organizations.

America's Student Leadership Trainer, Dave Kelly presents "Building Leaders Through Service."  The Building Leaders Through Service program is designed to instill in students a life-long commitment to community service involvement, servant leadership, service learning and personal development.

The first part of the fun and interactive program is a three-hour leadership training program that will cover a variety of important skills that effective servant leaders possess, such as listening, accepting responsibility, and putting others above self.  The second part of the program engages students in activities designed to further their leadership development.

This conference will teach college students to gain a greater sense of the world beyond themselves. Kelly believes students will become better listeners, engage others in a respectful way, use interpersonal communication to network, work together to serve others and overcome obstacles and in the end become more confident in themselves.

Kelly is an expert in student leadership and his powerful, practical programs provide students with the beneficial tools. Thousands of students have been inspired and motivated through his humor, real-life stories, and passion for students.
