World Famous Pianist to Perform with Kutztown University Orchestra

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - World renowned pianist Dr. Charles Abramovic will perform Piano Concerto No. 1 by Franz Liszt with the Kutztown University Orchestra on Thursday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. 

The concert also features Overture to Egmont by Beethoven and Laudate Jehovam, omnes gentes by Telemann which includes a performance by the Kutztown University Chamber Choir.

Abramovic is the faculty chair of Keyboard Studies at Temple University's Boyer College of Music, Philadelphia.  He performs regularly with artists such as Midori, Sarah Chang, Viktoria Mullova, and Kim Kashkashian and has appeared as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Colorado Symphony and the Florida Philharmonic. His recordings can be found on CRI, Albany Records, Bridge, and Naxos labels.
