Students Place in Business Idea Challenge
April 24, 2012
KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University juniors, Wesley Hebrew, of Brick Township, NJ, and Mark Pfeiffenberger, of Reading, Pa., received second place and a $1,000 prize for their proposal "Air Strength" which they presented at the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Business Idea Challenge earlier this month.
Hebrew's and Pfeiffenberger's business -- Air Strength -- is an advanced high-altitude training mask that improves athletes' speed, strength, cardiovascular endurance and overall fitness. The students plan to design and build a prototype over the summer and launch the business while they finish their academic studies at KU.
The Business Idea Challenge is a cooperative project between the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Innovation Transfer Network to encourage students with an interest in research commercialization and collaboration to consider and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.
