Last year, more than 11,000 of your fellow commonwealth employees donated $2.8 million to help people in need through the State Employee Combined Appeal (SECA).   The 2013 SECA campaign kicked off on September 9 and ends on November 1.  We encourage you to take this year's campaign theme to heart and "Walk in the Shoes" of someone less fortunate.  This year, donors have the opportunity to emerge as standout supporters of SECA by joining one of the two leadership giving levels - Governor's Circle or Gold.  Both levels recognize those employees who donate the equivalent of one hour or a half hour of their pay each month.  You can elect to have your donation easily deducted from your bi-weekly pay by using ESS or a paper pledge form.  You can also dedicate your donation to one or more charities of your choice by locating them in the SECA resource guide.  For more information, contact our SECA Agency Coordinator Bob Watrous at ext. 31396 or

Bake Sale:  On Monday, September 23, the Anthropology Club is having a bake sale in the SUB main lobby, from 9:30 AM to 2 PM.  There will be anthropological baked goods (like bone cookies) as well as more traditional fare.  Come and enjoy some homemade treats.
