KU vocal ensembles will present two concerts this week.  Bear Voices, an a cappella vocal ensemble, and Afterhours, a vocal jazz ensemble, perform tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Georgian Room.  The University Choir and Chamber Choir will offer a concert of sacred and seasonal pieces on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium.  Both concerts are free and open to the public. 



The 28th Division Band of the Pa. National Guard will perform a free concert on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium.  The concert is free and open to the public.  The 28th Division Band, which can trace its lineage back to 1878, is Pennsylvania's oldest music performance group. 




This week's MSU Movie Series film is Drinking Buddies which will be shown in the MSU Alumni Auditorium on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is free! Check out the MSU movie website for more information.



Please join us for the 5th Annual Sharadin Day today, Nov. 14.  The awards ceremony and reception begins at 11 a.m. in the Sharadin Atrium Lobby. On this day we acknowledge the Visual and Performing Arts by highlighting the significant accomplishments of our faculty, students, and staff over the past year. All are welcome!

Dining Services - White Meal Tickets - As of June 1, 2013 you must use white meal tickets for dining in the South Side Café, South Dining Hall.  Please enter your purchase requisitions into SAP and once released Tammy Moyer will converted it into a PO.  She will then send you and Dining Services a copy of the PO instructing you that the meal tickets may now be picked up at 106 Old Main, "A" Wing, Dining Services Office.  The pricing for the "white" meal tickets are as follows: Breakfast $5.85; Lunch (Brunch) $6.95, Dinner $7.95.  Please use Aramark vendor #1077038. Catering Policy for Kutztown University faculty, staff, and students - When using university or Kutztown University Student Services Inc. (KUSSI) funds for food purchases you need to use ARAMARK catering.  Your guide for catered events, meetings, socials, etc. can be found at This outlined policy is in the contract between Kutztown University and ARAMARK.  This policy does not affect individuals using personal funds for food delivered to you on campus. The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching is hosting its third event in the 2013-2014 Conversations on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning series on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. in RL 100B.  This conversation's topic is Quality Writing Experiences that Facilitate Thinking and Deep Learning, and contributors include Patricia Derr (History), Amy Lynch-Biniek (English), and Lynn Kutch (Modern Language Studies). Faculty, staff, and students are invited to join us.

Join us Nov. 16 at KU's annual Community Day Celebration during our 1 p.m. football game vs. Edinboro University! Local non-profit organizations will be on hand to talk about how you can benefit from getting involved.  Also, we will be honoring two alumni who work with the Travis Manion Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting our nation's veterans and service members, and support families of fallen soldiers. 



Kutztown University women's soccer was picked as the fifth seed in the six-team NCAA regional.  The Golden Bears (12-6) will take on fourth-seeded West Chester (13-7) in the first round of regional play on Friday, Nov. 15. The game will played at California (PA), the top seed in the region, as game time is set for 2 p.m. Live stats and audio on the Golden Bear Network will be available for Kutztown's first and second round games.  Click here for video of the lady's reaction as they watch the NCAA selection show.
