The Men's Basketball staff is hosting a Summer Basketball camp for Boy's and Girl's in grades 3-12 from June 23-27, 2014. The cost is $150.00. At KUR, we find it amusing that so many college stations grow dormant during the summer. What kind of community service is that? Not here at KUR. The music keeps playing, the news keeps running, the talk programming keeps informing you, and the announcements keep you abreast of what's going on in your community. Keep KUR on all summer long, 24/7, and check out the "Schedule" link on our website at http://www.kutztown.edu/kur for the full summer schedule of specialty shows, effective Memorial Day week!

Kutztown University will be conducting emergency drills today, May 20 and tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21.  These drills are conducted periodically to ensure officials and equipment are prepared for an actual emergency.

May 20 - KU will be testing its mass notification system.  Loudspeaker announcements and alert tones will be emanating from campus throughout the day.  Personnel will measure the volume and audibility of the system at various locations.  In the event of rain, the tests will be conducted on May 21.

May 21 - Kutztown University Police Department and the Berks County Special Emergency Response Team (SWAT) team will be conducting active shooter training from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The training will utilize the Golden Bear Village South Complex and C5 parking lot (behind Fairview Cemetery) on South Campus.  Multiple police personnel and equipment will be responding to campus for mock emergency drills to address different scenarios.  The focus of the training is to hone a combined response effort among many county entities if an actual event were to occur.  While the training area will be a safe environment, we will be simulating as much reality as possible.  Those not involved in the training are asked to please avoid the Golden Bear Village South area to ensure that the exercise is a success.
