KUR Brings Home the Gold - KUR has been awarded the gold medal by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Society for "Best Use of Social Media."  Congratulations to the Social Media Team of KUR, Matt Cech, Mitch Lambert, Nicole Zensky, Ryan C Moore, and advisor Mike Regensburger. KUR was also a finalist for "Best Radio Station at a college of under 10,000 Enrollment" and "Best Promotional Event" for last year's Battle of the Bands, in addition to being recognized by IBS for "Excellence in College Broadcasting."

Tune in from 2 to 3 p.m. for "Kutztown Live" with Mike Regensburger, sitting in this week for the traveling Steve Maugeri. Mike will welcome to the show vegetarianism advocate Rachel Atcheson about her efforts to make college students more aware of the vegetarian option. In addition, Mike will air another edition of "The People Chronicles" and maybe even feature a third surprise segment, as well. Hear the stories behind the art, and jolt your understanding of women's importance in African cultures! KU professor of history Dr. Christine Saidi leads a rare presentation and tour of "Bold Mamas and Audacious Entrepreneurs," her remarkable collection of African art that showcases the central role of women within various African societies, at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 12 in Rohrbach Library. All are welcome.

Nominate a student to be a Presidential Ambassador.  Ambassadors are selected based on their academic record (2.75 GPA or higher), their enthusiasm about their experiences at KU, their professional demeanor, participation in university activities, interpersonal communications skills, and the ability to be an active member for at least three semesters.  During spring recruitment, we are looking for freshmen and sophomores who fit these qualifications.  Please submit your nominees to  by March 24. Referred students will be invited to our Recruitment Social on March 26 to learn more about the organization and how to become a member.
