The Daily Brief

Ensemble Espanol

Magnificent. Beautiful. Scorching. Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theatre, the premiere Spanish dance company in the U. S., fully embraces the passions of Spain. Led by artistic director Dame Libby the company's rich history and commitment to its mission of the preservation and presentation of classical, folkloric, flamenco, and contemporary dance and music traditions of Spain have been praised by educators, social and arts agencies, journalists and Hispanic world governments. Love, rage, abandonment and emotional intensity will sizzle the stage in their performance of Flamenco Passion on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Schaeffer Auditorium. Presented in conjunction with the Department of Modern Language Studies, Organization for Latino Awareness (OLA) and Sigma Delta Pi.

Tickets are $28 ($15 for students, $10 for KU Students with ID) and can be purchased with check or cash at the MSU Information Center or with credit card at or x3-4092.

Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, officiated by the Rev. Susan Moore. Friends are invited to call from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
