When Kimberly Kolb ('09, M'12) decided to go back to school to earn a Master of Education in Reading, she looked no further than where she attended school for undergrad: Kutztown University.
"I knew a good portion of the reading professors and I knew it was a really good program," she said.
A self-proclaimed nerd, Kimberly chose KU's nationally recognized reading program because she loves to read, and she enjoyed her experience as a first grade student teacher where she taught kids how to read. "It's the best education program anywhere. The professors are great, the classes are great. It's just a great school," Kimberly said.
The classes Kimberly took helped prepare her for the real world. "I feel so much more equipped to do reading assessments or to teach comprehension than I ever did before."
Her favorite memories are the classes she took at KU. "I love being able to talk to my peers about what I'm learning," she said. "It's just an awesome time."
