Kevin Morton, a KU senior majoring in Criminal Justice, credits his surrounding influences at Kutztown with helping him to choose this major. Morton, who is a four-year starting quarterback on the Golden Bears football team, will always remember his experiences with the team after graduating.
"My favorite memory at Kutztown was winning the PSAC championship. Football is a big part of my life and I spend most of my time either at football or in the classroom."
Morton will graduate as one of the best football players in Golden Bear football history, setting numerous school records and ranking among the conference and national leaders in several statistical categories. He led the 2011 KU football team to the program's first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship.
He is a two-time PSAC East and KU Male Athlete of the Year selection and has been nominated for the Harlon Hill Trophy, an award for the top player in NCAA Division II.
While in the classrooms at Kutztown, Morton asserts that he has gained a greater sense of time management and self-sufficiency that will help him as he enters the workforce.
When asked what advice he has for students thinking about attending KU, Morton said, "Kutztown is a nice town with a great atmosphere, and you make a lot of friends here."
