The finance curriculum is sufficiently broad to prepare a student for many different and rewarding career paths. After taking courses in accounting, financial management, marketing and management, students who decide to major in finance go on to complete rigorous courses in investments and portfolio management, financial markets and institutions, corporate finance, multinational financial management, and personal financial planning. In addition, students may choose from a variety of electives based on their career goals and interests. The curriculum for finance majors emphasizes the use of computers with special attention given to spreadsheet software. The curriculum has adequate depth and coverage to provide students with a solid foundation to pursue advanced degrees in finance or an M.B.A.
