Election Day Information

Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 is Election Day and here is some information that may be helpful to you as you assist students and colleagues voting in PA.  Polls are open 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. in Pennsylvania.  Generally, www.votespa.com is a great resource. 

First time voters must show proof of identification at the polling place- either a photo ID or non-photo ID. Approved forms of voter ID for first-time voters or voters that moved to a new polling location include:

  • Photo ID: Pennsylvania driver's license or PennDOT ID card; ID issued by any Commonwealth of Pennsylvania agency; ID issued by the U.S. Government; U.S. passport; U.S. Armed Forces ID; student ID (with or without an expiration date); or employee ID; OR
  • Non-photo ID (showing name and current address): voter registration card issued by voter registration commission; non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; non-photo ID issued by the U.S. Government, firearm permit; or a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government check.
