Out-of-State Tuition Reduction Program
Kutztown University is pleased to offer an Out-of-State Tuition Reduction Program which provides tuition savings for first-time, non-resident, undergraduate first-year and transfer students.
Undergraduate students eligible for this tuition reduction program must be U.S. citizens and reside in a state other than Pennsylvania. This program is available to first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students. The program remains in effect for the four years (8 semesters of continuous full-time enrollment) for first-year students and for three years (6 semesters of continuous full-time enrollment) for transfer students.
- New first-year students must have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and a minimum SAT score of 1,000 (combined math and critical reading) or an ACT composite score of 21. Students receive a 40% reduction of the out-of-state tuition. To remain eligible for a maximum of four years, the student must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be continuously enrolled full-time at the university every fall and spring semester, as well as successfully complete a minimum of 24 credits each academic year.
- First-time transfer students, who have a minimum of 24 transferable credits and a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 from the higher education institutions attended, are eligible for this program. Students receive a 20% reduction of the out-of-state tuition. To remain eligible for a maximum of three years, the student must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be continuously enrolled full-time at the university every fall and spring semester, and successfully complete a minimum of 24 credits each academic year.
This program is an undergraduate plan only and is not retroactive. Currently enrolled students cannot qualify for the program. This program does not apply to non-domestic (international) students. Program eligibility pertains to fall and spring semester courses only. Winter and summer session courses may be taken at the full out-of-state tuition rate. The 24 transferable required credits for transfer students may include work currently in progress at the time of an admission decision.
