Getting to KU
The Office of International Admissions wants every new student's travel to KU to be as easy as possible. We ask that all incoming students email the following information to us before the first day of orientation: flight number, departure city and time, arrival city and time, and the expected arrival time and location in Kutztown for bus or other ground transportation.
We recommend that students choose one of the following airports for their entry to the U.S.:
Newark Liberty Airport (EWR)
John F. Kennedy Airport, New York City (JFK)
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

When students arrive at the Bieber bus terminal in Kutztown, a member of the International Admissions staff can pick them up. We will plan to meet new students at the time they indicate in their travel plans, but students should call us if their travel plans change for any reason.
The Lehigh Valley International Airport (airport code ABE) is also close to campus and the Office of International Admissions will arrange transportation from this airport to campus.
Travel to KU from other airports is possible, however, not as simple as the sites listed above. Students coming from other airports will probably have to arrange a private car service or rent a car and drive to KU. Use the directions below to get to the campus by car.
If you are traveling to KU from a site within the U.S., you can follow the directions by clicking here.
We know that students might arrive before the day they are allowed to move into their residence hall or that they might have friends and family travelling with them. Click here for information about where to stay in and around Kutztown.
