Kutztown University is a public university located in a small rural town in the scenic rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Students enjoy the fresh air and open space in and around our beautiful campus. There are a lot of things to do in Kutztown, such as shopping in the small specialty stores, dining at one of many delicious restaurants, or seeing a movie at the old-fashioned movie theater. The university also organizes many fun, informative, cultural, and athletic events for students. Even with all of the great things going on in Kutztown, students are not too distracted and are able to focus on their studies while school is in session. KU is also a member of the National Student Exchange program, which gives international students at KU the opportunity to attend a university in another part of the U.S. for one or two semesters.
KU strives to create an environment rich in ethnic, cultural and intellectual diversity. We endeavor to prepare students to contribute, live, and work in an increasingly global society. Our international community has more than doubled in less than five years. Of the approximately 9,800 full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students that attend Kutztown University, international students represent 30 countries. International students can apply for a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. We hope you'll consider joining our thriving campus community.
Kutztown is accessible from many large international airports, located two hours from New York City, 90 minutes from Philadelphia, and 30 minutes from Reading and Allentown, two small cities. A bus terminal is within walking distance of the campus and has daily routes to all of these locations and Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania.
