Computer Science- Software Development

The Software Development track in Computer Science allows majors or minors to further their understanding in areas such as digital forensics, information security, and more.

The software development track is the traditional computer science degree. It focuses on the fundamentals for computer science. Students can take such courses as computer organization, object-oriented programming courses, theory of programming languages and compiler design.

Specialized courses include Programming Languages, Discrete Math for CS II, and elective courses such as Java Programming and Introduction to Game Programming.

• Students in this track may also choose to enroll in the B.S./M.S. five year program at Kutztown.

Students who receive a degree in the software development track may choose to work in a variety of areas after graduation, such as application development, software engineering, software support, system administration, education, consulting, and system development.
