Economics
This minor-only program suits the needs of those who are interested in our ever-changing economy as well as the rapid changes experienced by businesses and financial institutions. The minor focuses on how an economy functions and how to spot the trends and opportunities in finance or business.
The Economics minor is available to students who are majoring in business as well as those majoring in a variety of other subjects.
Required Economics Minor Courses
Required classes first include Principles of Economics and move forward into Intermediate Macro and Microeconomics. Additionally, two elective courses must be completed for those choosing to pursue this minor.
Career Opportunities
The economics minor helps to prepare the student for employment in government, banking, securities and investments, and economic research.
