University Sponsored Study Abroad Programs

One option for studying abroad is through a program offered by another U.S. university. The following institutions have traditionally offered study abroad programs that include courses in art history, communication, design, fine arts, music, or theatre.

Appalachian State University

Several summer, semester and full year programs are offered. Requirements and application deadlines vary by program. Special topics and short term programs led by faculty may also be of interest.

East Carolina University

Summer and semester programs led by faculty are offered, with courses in art history, ceramics, communication, jewelry, languages, music, and photography. Independent study options may be available.

Florida State University

London and Italy programs may be of particular interest to visual and performing arts majors. Several summer, semester, and full year programs are offered. Requirements and application deadlines vary by program.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania

SACI (Studio Art Centers International Florence)

Numerous universities participate in the SACI Consortium. Depending on the course of study, students may also apply directly to SACI. Please check both links for more information. Application deadlines: March 15 (fall term) | May 15 (summer term) | Oct. 15 (spring term)

School of Visual Arts (SVA)

Several short courses (1-6 weeks) are offered in art, art history, and design in Europe, Asia, and South America. Programs are typically scheduled during breaks (spring and summer) and carry university credit.

SUNY Buffalo (Buffalo State)

Temple University

Several summer, semester, and full year programs are offered, including fine arts and media studies in Japan and fine arts in Italy. Requirements and application deadlines vary by program.

University of the Arts

The university operates a second campus (Harlaxton College) in Grantham, England. Courses in British Literature and and several other fields are offered.
