Prof. Shannon Sunday
Mrs. Shannon Sunday has been a music teacher for the past eighteen years with Kutztown Area School District. Over the years Mrs. Sunday has conducted award-winning jazz choirs, show choirs, and concert choirs. She has also been involved with musical theater for both school and community.
Mrs. Sunday is an adjunct professor with the music department at Kutztown University where she teaches an elementary education course on Arts Integration and has served as interim director for After Hours Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Mrs. Sunday is involved with the Berks Jazz Fest Education Committee where she coordinates the Berks County High School Jazz Choir. She has been the organist and choir director for St. Peter's U.C.C. of Wilshire for the past seventeen years.
She has been listed in Who's Who Among American Teacher's in both 2000 and 2005 and Who's Who Among American Women.
Mrs. Sunday received her Bachelor of Music degree from West Virginia University, her Master of Education in Computers in Education from DeSales University, and has completed her doctoral course work in Music Education at Boston Unversity. Mrs. Sunday lives in Shoemakersville, Pa., with her husband of thirteen years, Glenn, cat Kramer, and German shepherd, Riesling. In her spare time, her hobbies include fishing, travel, reading and stitching.
