Concert Band

The Fall Concert Band serves as a musical outlet for those instrumentalists who wish to continue making music, but do not wish to participate in the Kutztown University marching Unit. The Fall Concert Band rehearses Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30 - 5:45 p.m. and performs a wide variety of Wind band literature: standard repertoire, recently published compositions, and selections from festival lists. Selected student conductors generally will rehearse and conduct a piece on the fall concert. The personnel for the wind ensemble are drawn from the concert band. Auditions are required for proper part assignments, but everyone interested in performing will be accepted. Auditions are held at the start of each semester for all instrumental ensembles. Audition music is generally available in a downloadable electronic format several weeks before the auditions. Please contact Dr. Justeson for the audition materials and information. Audition sign-ups are available in the Music Office, Old Main 114, a couple days before the start of each new semester.
