Deborah A. Sieger, RN, LSW, PhD
Professor of Criminal Justice
Dr. Sieger served as professor of Criminal Justice and Women's Studies after chairing the Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work for 17 years and teaching for 32 years before her retirement from Kutztown. She currently serves on the Governance Committee of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, and served for a decade on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Community Practice and Administration. She presented papers and workshops at numerous conferences, and has also appeared on television and radio shows about justice and social change issues.
Deborah was appointed to the Phoebe Ministries Board of Trustees in Allentown in January 2008 and was appointed Chair of the Phoebe Institute on Aging in August 2012. Besides teaching, her professional career has included intensive care nursing, community organizing, and agency administration. She actively pursues legislation and policy reform toward the realization of equality and justice for all people, and she enjoys organic gardening.
