Biology Major Programs

The Biology Major offers four different track specializations from which students can choose:

  • Allied Health
    This program is designed to prepare students for further education in a variety of health-related fields including, but not limited to, the following: physical therapy, nursing, physician assistant, pharmacy, laboratory technology, occupational therapy, optometry, and chiropractic.
  • Molecular/Micro/Cell Biology
    This program is designed to provide majors with a broad background in biology as well as advanced knowledge in the area of concentration.
  • Organismal Biology/Ecology
    This program is designed to provide majors with a broad education in the biology of organisms and their ecology.

  • B.S. in Environmental Science: Biology/Geology/Chemistry/Geography
    The Bachelor of Science program in Environmental Science at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania is an interdisciplinary program with a curriculum that provides students with the opportunity to specialize in biology, chemistry, geography, or geology while also preparing them to obtain employment as environmental scientists or engage in graduate studies in the natural and environmental sciences.
  • B.S. in Marine Science: Biology/or Oceanography
    Kutztown University offers a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science for students who desire an interdisciplinary background in oceanography or marine biology. The program is taught by faculty in the Biology and Physical Sciences departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
  • B.S.Secondary Ed. Biology - in the College of Education
    The Biology program at Kutztown University offers a Bachelor of Science in Education for students.
