LEISURE & SPORT STUDIES
Welcome to the exciting world of sport and leisure. Designed to prepare students for administrative and operations positions within the sport, athletic, recreation, and fitness industries. All students will receive a Bachelor of Science in Leisure and Sport Studies degree with career options that include management and marketing positions with professional teams, athletic facilities, sport products, sport events, and sport tourism. The leisure & sport studies degree program at Kutztown University offers a choice of two specializations:
Coaching & Athletic Administration
Professional positions include athletic director, sports information director, compliance coordinator, recruiting coordinator, coach, conference administrator, promotions director, equipment manager, and intramural/recreation director.
Professional opportunities include employment positions as a health club manager, fitness director, personal trainer, or strength/conditioning coach.
- Note: Leisure & Sport Studies courses include those with SPT, PEC & HEA prefixes.

The leisure & sport studies program at Kutztown University is a 120-credit major, with leisure & sport studies majors completing 60 semester hours of General Education courses, 39-45 semester hours of leisure & sport studies core classes, and 15-27 hours of specialty track courses. Upon successful completion of the leisure & sport studies program, students graduate with a bachelor of science degree. Listing of course requirements
