Dr. Soojin Kim

Dr. Kim received her Ph.D. degree with emphasis in sport administration and minor in applied statistics and research method from the University of Northern Colorado. While at Northern Colorado, she was an active member of Sport Marketing Research Institute (SMRI), conducting research for various sport organizations such as the Denver Nuggets and USOC. Upon graduation, she taught in the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Department at Eastern Washington University. In the fall of 2009, Dr. Kim joined as a faculty member in the Department of Sport Management and Leadership Studies at Kutztown University. She also currently serves as an associate director of Kutztown University Sport Business Institute (KUSBI), where she provides extensive market research for various sport settings and engages student learning by supporting their research. Dr. Kim has conducted research on various topics which include, but are not limited to: understanding sport consumer communication behavior, exploration of sport consumer motivation in multiple sport contexts, sport sponsorship effectiveness, and development of market segments. Each year Dr. Kim presents her research findings at national and international professional conferences.
