Recognizing Safety Personnel
Police officers can be identified by their uniforms, which consist of navy blue uniform pants and navy blue uniform shirts. Officers wear black shoes and black leather gear as provided. Hats are optional and officers are authorized to wear the Department provided baseball caps. Officers also wear a badge and each shoulder of their uniform top has a clearly identified patch which states the word "police." On ocassion, officers will wear dress uniforms, which consist of navy blue uniform pants, white uniform shirts and hats in the military oval style.
When officers are scheduled on Bike Patrol, they will wear a uniform that consists of navy blue shorts and a white polo shirt that has both a badge and the word "police" across the back. Also permitted is the navy blue sweatsuit which has been provided for periods of cool weather.
Police Officers shall wear black colored jackets. These jackets shall have a clearly identifiable patch on each shoulder that includes the word "police."
These primary positions are that of Director and Investigator and the uniform consists of navy blue pants, white dress shirts, and maroon sport jackets. Officers in Civilian Attire wear a pocket identification insert displayed on the outside vest pocket of the jacket.
KU Security Uniforms
- The Kutztown Security Officer wears brown pants and a tan shirt along with a baseball cap that includes the words "KU Security." Officers also wear a badge and each shoulder of their uniform top has a clearly identified patch which states the word "security."
Security Personnel Uniforms
SGI Security Officers can be identified by their uniforms that consist of light blue uniform shirts, black uniform pants and company baseball caps. Shirts shall have a clearly identified patch on shoulder which states "SGI security."
SGI dipsatchers wear black uniform pants and company polo shirts.
