The Off-Campus Advisory Council acts as the liaison between the university students and community residents to improve communication through cooperative programming and to establish and maintain harmonious relationships between the two groups.
Creating and maintaining healthy relationships between Kutztown University and its neighboring communities has been the goal of the Off-Campus Advisory Council since its official establishment in 1990. Today, this organization encourages open lines of communication plus welcomes active participation from university students, administrators, business owners, town residents, and local officials. It also provides opportunities for students to gain real life leadership experience through civic and community service.
The Commuter Student Association is a student-run organization assembled to unite and serve the multidimensional commuter student. Whether you live 5 or 50 minutes away from campus, you are a member of the commuter student population. The organization was created to intensify the voices of commuter students and ensure that their issues are heard and needs attended to, enabling commuters to have the best college experience possible. The goal of the organization is to sponsor recreational and cultural activities, lobby on behalf of commuter students with the administration, and represent commuters campus-wide. CSA is open to all students interested in commuter issues.
