The Berks Multicultural Student Conference is an annual project implemented by the Berks Multicultural Consortium that consists of the six area colleges and universities (Kutztown University, Albright College, Alvernia University, Penn State University Berks Campus, Penn State Schuylkill Campus, and Reading Area Community College). This annual conference is held during the fall semester and focuses on workshop topics essential to student development. Any student from the 6 area institutions can attend; however, the total number of participants is limited and students must register to attend. The Ujima Conference is held in the Spring. Featuring a keynote speaker and various workshops facilitated by current student leaders,MCC student workers and/or Kutztown alumni. This program gives students opportunities to research areas of interest and enhance presentation skills. This event is open to all Kutztown University students and and students invited from other System Schools and surrounding universities and colleges. Upon request and depending on available funds, the Center will also sponsor or co-sponsor students or organization representatives to attend off-campus conferences and activities.
