The Berks Multicultural Student Conference is an annual project implemented by the Berks Multicultural Consortium that consists of the six area colleges and universities (Kutztown University, Albright College, Alvernia University, Penn State University Berks Campus, Penn State Schuylkill, and Reading Area Community College). This annual conference is held in either Fall or Spring and focuses on workshop topics essential to student development. Any student from the 6 area institutions can attend; however, the total number of participants is limited and students must register to attend. Watch for conference advertisement or call Ms. Rhonda Branford at 610-683-4197 for more information.
The Ujima Conference is held in the Spring. There is a keynote speaker and various workshop facilitated by current student leaders and Multicultural Center student workers or past Kutztown alumni. This event is open to all Kutztown University students and invited schools as well. For more information on this conference, please contact Cameo Pritchett at 610-683-4810.
Off campus, the National Graduate Opportunites Conference creates an environment where students from under-represented populations would convene annually to be further motivated and inspired to reach beyond undergraduate school.
