International Student Tuition Waivers
Many of the international students at KU earned a tuition waiver when they were admitted based on their academic achievement and potential cultural contribution to campus. Tuition waivers only cover the cost of tuition and the amount of the award varies. Students are responsible for all additional tuition expenses not covered by the waiver, as well as room, meals, and other fees. The tuition waivers will be reported to the Office of Student Accounts around the time bills are sent every semester, and the bill will be reduced by the amount of the waiver.
When International Student Tuition Waiver recipients begin their classes at KU, they must maintain certain grades to remain eligible and continue to receive the waiver. The International Office will review students' grades and academic progress at the end of each academic year to ensure they continue to meet the requirements. Tuition Waivers will be awarded for a maximum of nine semesters. Get more information about the different levels of International Student Tuition Waivers.
