  • Develop/discuss expectations
  • Provide feedback/recognition
  • Identify training needs
  • Coordinate with reviewing officer
  • Prepare and discuss rating

An important part of the EPE is the employee's training and development plan. In order to develop a successful training plan, the following steps are recommended:

  • Hold supervisor accountable for successfully performing management duties
  • Ensure the consistent application of standards
  • Discuss/investigate employee appeals
