    For those who participate in other forms of exercise, this log can be used to keep track of your activities.
    Examples of activities are: running, yoga, swimming, tennis, bodybuilding, and aerobic dance.

      1. What the program is all about? You need to log 85 workout-sessions in order to obtain the points

      Highmark Healthways Fitness Your WayAs an added benefit of your Highmark health plan for all members, you are eligible to participate in the Healthways Fitness Your Way program. For only $25 per month, you will have access to nearly 9,000 fitness centers across the country. It includes select national chains (such as Gold’s Gym, Curves and Snap Fitness) as well as many independent fitness centers. With your $25/month membership you can visit as many of the participating fitness centers as often as you like.  Special discount is available for the entire month of February.  Learn more below.

        Each workout session can be recorded on the Fitness Workout Log (FWL500) and count towards the required workout sessions for this program.

    •    LTW002
      Kutztown University Recreational CenterHuman Resources has partnered with Recreational Services to make the Rec Center indoor track available from 11am-2pm Monday thru Friday so employees can continue (or start) their walking programs during the winter months. You will need to bring your KU ID to sign in. Rubber soled shoes should be worn on the track. Our agreement is for use of the track only, membership would be required for full access to Rec Center Services.

    • LTW002-Lunchtime Walkers (No Registration Required)
      • Participants are welcome to track the miles walked towards the Walk 'n Talk (WNT600) program or record as a workout seession on the Fitness Workout Log (FWL500) and count towards the required workout sessions for this program.  Program start on 11/30/15 thru 02/29/16 (can be extended if bad weather continues).

    •    MDG200
      This is an eight-week self-directed program designed to help individuals maintain their weight during the holiday season, and to avoid the cumulative effects of gradual weight gain.

      • Healthways SpecialHuman Resources is pleased to announce we have again partnered with Recreational Services to offer YOGA and ZUMBA classes to employees (no experience necessary).  Both classes will be held at 4:45 PM beginning the week of August 31, 2015 and running through December 10, 2015.

        YOGA - Tuesdays and Thursdays in Recreational Center's South Studio (open to staff & faculty)
        ZUMBA - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in Recreational Center's North Studio (Open to staff, faculty & students)

      • YOGA & ZUMBA (Register at the Rec Center for each class)
        • Points you can earn: 25 with the attendance of 10 classes in each program (Yoga or Zumba).  You can earn up to 50 points with the attendance of 10 classes in Yoga and 10 classes in Zumba.

          Classes will begin on Tuesday, September 1st and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:45 PM through December 10, 2015. Classes will be held in the South Studio of the Recreational Center. Participants will need to bring their KU ID, sign a standard waiver form and will be asked to sign in each time they attend a class. The Recreational Center will provide Yoga mats.

          For those of you participating in the Healthy U Wellness Program, attendance at 10 classes will be rewarded with 25 Healthy U points for completion of a physical activity/fitness program.
