First Year Mentor Applicant Qualifications and Timeline

Qualifications

All selected and placed First Year Mentors must:

  • Complete an application, submit a letter of recommendation and participate in a scheduled individual interview
  • Maintain a minimum of a 2.25 cumulative grade point average
  • Be in good judicial standing
  • Have a paid Housing Application
  • Reside on campus, in the residence hall that they are assigned a mentor

Timeline

Friday, February 27: Applications and Letter of Reference due to Housing, Residence Life and Dining Services Office (106 Old Main) by 4:00 pm


Monday, February 16 through Wednesday, March 25: Individual Interviews (Candidate will be contacted to schedule)


Friday, March 27: First Year Mentor Offer Letters are sent out


Friday, April 3: First Year Mentor Offer Acceptances due to the Housing, Residence Life and Dining Services Office (106 Old Main) by 4:00 pm
