First Year Activities Council

Get to know other first year students right away! This organization is geared toward first year students who are interested in getting involved, meeting students from other halls, learning how to plan a program from beginning to end, and learning about what other leadership opportunities KU has to offer. First year students can serve as a "First Year Representative" and are a part of their Hall Council. This organization meets weekly and learns to plan all-campus social, educational, and community-based programs geared toward first-year students. These students also get the opportunity to hold leadership positions by making up the executive board. Each executive board member is mentored by a student advisor, which is an upper-class student who was involved previously in the organization.

For the 2014-2015 Academic Year, the First Year Activities Council will meet in Lehigh Hall Conference Room on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm.
