For New First Year and Transfer Students

Fall 2016/Spring 2017 New Student Information

Eligible students can complete the Housing License Agreement online  for a Fall 2016/Spring 2017 on-campus housing assignment starting January 25, 2016.

Students that are not 18 years of age at the time of completing the Housing License Agreement must complete the Under 18 Signature Form and submit  by August 1st.

Pennsylvania law requires universities that offer campus housing to maintain a file on resident students and their meningitis vaccine status.  This information must be on file before a student can check into his/her room assignment.  Students will be sent an email from Health & Wellness Services with instructions as to when and how they can complete the electronic form, Options for Meningitis Compliance, and indicate a vaccine date or complete a waiver. Information about how minor students (those not 18 years of age at the time of campus residence) can meet this requirement also will be included.   Information links for this is being updated, please check back later.

Students with special needs who will be residing in the residence halls MUST contact the Disability Services office at (610) 683-4108 before June 1st for fall admission or  in order to accommodate your request due to a disability.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING: By completing the online housing license agreement and $75 housing fee payment through the Myhousing portal.  View the Youtube video instructions in advance.

HOW ARE ASSIGNMENTS COMPLETED?

Assignments are completed by the Housing Office based on the preference information that you complete during the online payment process.  Please complete the preference information even if you anticipate requesting a roommate.  You will not have the option of choosing your residence hall.  Assignment information will be sent by email after the first week of July.

CAN YOU REQUEST A ROOMMATE?

Yes!  You will receive an email after the first week of May with instructions on how to request/confirm your roommate.  Please check your student email for this detailed information.  All students involved in the request must have completed the $75 housing application fee payment process to be eligible to request a roomamte.  While our goal is to honor as many roommate requests as possible, roommate requests are not guaranteed based on many factors such as available open rooms, eligibility of students, timing of housing fee payment and roommate request, etc.

We highly suggest that if you are searching for a roommate, you take into consideration someone who is in your major, especially if you are interested in a LIving Learning Community.

COMMITMENT TO THE HOUSING LICENSE AGREEMENT IS FOR THE FULL FALL 2016/SPRING 2017 ACADEMIC YEAR.

If you decide to cancel after you have completed the payment process, please note that your written cancellation must be received to our office by 4 pm June 30, 2016, after that time a $1500 minimum penalty is applied to your student account.

FIRST YEAR ASSIGNMENTS will be completed by July 9th for students that have completed the $75 housing fee payment by May 1st.  An email will be sent to your student email account regarding assignment information.  You will be able to view your assignment in Myhousing by clicking on Housing/Dining login.
