Plan Administrator: Consolidated Health Plans
ELIGIBILITY: UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS
A student is eligible for enrollment in the university health insurance if he/she has:
- Applied before the enrollment deadline (visit Consolidated Health Plans for details).
- Enrolled for coursework (6 credit minimum for undergraduate students) and actively attended class for the first 31 days after coverage begins.
MEDICAL COVERAGE
Please carefully review the benefit brochure to confirm that the plan meets your healthcare needs. It is the individual's responsibility to become familiar with plan benefits. Current network providers may be viewed at Cigna.
HOW TO ENROLL
- International students automatically are enrolled in the university plan upon registration for classes. The premium may be removed if a private plan meets the guidelines of the Affordable Care Act and proof of enrollment has been submitted to the Medical Records Manager in Health Administrative Services.
- All domestic students should visit the Consolidated Health Plans website, where more plan information can be viewed and on-line enrollment can be completed. If using the conventional mail system, the enrollment card and premium are sent directly to Consolidated Health Plans, not Kutztown University.

*Consolidated Health Plans sends renewal notices to students who have enrolled in the annual plan. No notices are sent to students who have enrolled for a partial period.
Students who will be terminated from a current private health insurance plan due to age restrictions or loss of coverage may enroll in the university plan beyond the enrollment deadlines. Those individuals must provide documentation of impending loss of coverage within 30 days of termination to Ruthanne Carter at Consolidated Health Plans.
