What is Spring Orientation?
Spring Orientation is a required event for all new freshman & transfer students who will begin attending Kutztown University during the spring semester. Spring Orientation will include sessions & activities designed for new incoming students to help prepare you to succeed in the classroom & for life as a Golden Bear!
What Will I Do at Spring Orientation?
During Spring Orientation, you will have the opportunity to be welcomed into the Golden Bear family & get prepared for your first day of classes. During the half-day program, you will be able to:
- Meet fellow new Golden Bears.
During Spring Orientation, you'll have the opportunity to meet & interact with other fellow new students.
- Connect with faculty and staff.
Throughout the program, you will meet a variety of KU faculty & staff members who are ready to help you succeed as a Golden Bear.
- Receive information regarding academic expectations & college success.
Is KU really different from my previous institution? What will my professors expect of me? During Spring Orientation, you will learn about adjustment to KU, time management, work & class balance recommendations, academic policies, & academic honesty.
- Receive information from a variety of campus resources.
Coming to college or transferring to a new institution is a transition & you will need some time to learn the lay of the land. During Spring Orientation, you will be introduced to a variety of campus resources & their available services that are here to help you succeed & thrive.
- Get your KU ID Card - bring a form of photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc).

Transfer Orientation Dates: November 18 or January 14 (Select One)
Follow these next steps to schedule your spring 2016 classes.
1.) Pay your $200 Advance Registration Deposit
2). Select your Orientation Date - November 18 or January 14
3). Register for the event in your MyKU -
(log in to MyKU, select other academics, connections orientation)
Once registered for orientation, you will receive an email confirmation to your Kutztown University email account. Please check your email often! Read the email confirmation for important details concerning event location, times and other details. If you need any assistance, please call the CONNECTIONS Orientation Office at 610-683-4088.
