Parent Orientation Program
Congratulations on your student's acceptance to Kutztown University. To aid in the adjustment to this new phase, we invite you to attend the optional Parent Orientation Program. This program prepares parents for the personal adjustments that come with sending a child to college and the transitions your student will experience at Kutztown University. Your support of your student's education is critical to their success. This Kutztown CONNECTIONS orientation website contains links to help you and your student understand and navigate the university.
This optional, one-day summer orientation program is held 15 times in June. The dates are: June 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, 23, 24, 26. Since the family program is held completely independent of the student program, attendees are not limited to choosing the same date as their student, and may choose the date that best fits their schedule.
Attendance and Fees
Attendance requires a $25 non-refundable fee per person. Families can register online beginning February 14, 2014 through the student's MyKU account. Parents who have registered will receive an email with check-in information to the email address on file. Due to the topics covered, the program is intended for a mature audience. Space limitations only permit two parents/guardians per student. On-site registration is limited and may not be available. Advance registration is strongly encouraged.
Special Accommodations for Orientation
If you require special arrangements to accommodate a disability, physical challenge, or dietary concern, arrangements must be made at least two weeks in advance of the program date by contacting the CONNECTIONS Orientation Office by phone or email. (610) 683-4088 - firstname.lastname@example.org.
