What is CONNECTIONS Orientation?

CONNECTIONS Orientation is required for all new students. It is designed to help you adjust to a new environment and cope with the changes you will experience in coming to KU. When you come to Orientation, you will learn how to effectively deal with common transition issues; get familiar with the KU campus; gain an understanding of academic support services available; and start to understand the academic expectations professors will have of you.

Each year, we prepare a new student guidebook. Take a moment to review the contents. We will review some aspects of this with you at new student orientation in January.

A required orientation for first-time freshmen will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

An optional parent/family program will be held on the same date. The cost to attend the parent/family program is $10 per person if paid in advance ($15 at the door) and covers the cost for lunch and materials. This fee can be paid in advance to Kutztown University in c/o the CONNECTIONS Orientation Office, P.O. Box 730, Kutztown, PA 19530. Payment can also be made online through the student's MyKU account.

Both the first-time freshmen and parent/family orientation program will begin at 9:00 AM and end at approximately 3 PM. Students are required to attend orientation. Check back soon for a copy of the program agenda.
